Elicia A. Black F.R.P.
Is a native Floridian. She was born in Sarasota, Florida and has lived in North Port for the majority of her life. After graduating from Venice High School and then taking time to have a family, she went back to college to study in the legal field at the State College of Florida.
During her studies she was a constant presence on the Dean’s List and the President’s list for academic achievement. Elicia was also a member of Lambda Epsilon Chi, the National Honors society in Paralegal Legal Assisting and Phi Theta Kappa, the National Honors Society. She graduated from the State College of Florida with a degree in Paralegal/ Legal Assisting in 2013 and was honored at the State College of Florida 2013 Honors Convocation as Outstanding Associates Arts Student in Paralegal Legal Assisting.
Elicia has been registered with the Florida Bar as a Florida Registered Paralegal since March 2015 and has been a Florida Notary Public since 2012. She is also currently a member of the Florida Bar Family Law section.
Elicia has been working as a Paralegal for Raymond S. Grimm since April, 2011. During this time she has had the opportunity to assist in cases involving criminal law, business litigation, contracts, probate, estate planning, guardianship and a variety of family law matters including adoptions, dissolution, paternity, modifications and child support.
Having personally dealt with the family legal system, and experiencing how scary and confusing it could be, gave Elicia a passion for helping others navigate the legal waters. Her focus currently is on caring for her two daughters and helping others going through trying legal situations.
